Welcome to the Intentional Conversation!
This blog has been years in the making—and I’m finally ready to share it with you. It began as a whisper from God when our family moved to Los Angeles in 2012. That whisper became a call: “Be intentional.” First, as a mom. Then, through life’s many seasons, it grew into a deeper message—one that’s now birthed as “Being an Intentional Woman.”
This space is a release—a place to share just a fraction of what I, and many other women, have learned, lived, and loved. It’s about being. Not performing. Not pretending. But truly being—with intentionality, faith, and authenticity.
The Power of BEING
We are always BEING:
• Being daughters
• Being sisters
• Being mothers, friends, leaders, and wives
• Being professionals
• Being present
There is never a time when we are not in a state of BEING. But the question is:
Are we being intentional—or just going through the motions?
Let’s shift from passivity to purpose:
• Being still in His presence
• Being whole despite brokenness
• Being rooted in Christ
• Being transformed by His grace
• Being kind and compassionate in a harsh world
• And yes—Being yourself
That last one may sound simple, but for women who wear many hats, it can be one of the hardest things to do. In the demands of life—wife, mother, doctor, entertainer, teacher, entrepreneur—it’s easy to forget who we truly are. We start becoming what others expect, instead of remaining who God designed us to be.
A Moment of Truth
Let me share a personal story.
There was a time when I showed up for everyone else—wife, mother, leader, friend, daughter—supporting everyone else’s vision while neglecting my own. I wasn’t honoring my boundaries. I didn’t even recognize the woman in the mirror.
I had allowed roles, expectations, and busyness to redefine me.
But it wasn’t until I got tired—tired of feeling empty, tired of stagnation, tired of not progressing—that I prayed hard prayers. And let me say this: Don’t pray hard prayers if you’re not ready for hard answers.
I said, “God, what is keeping me from reaching my fullest potential in You?”
He opened my eyes. He showed me where I was stuck. And the truth was—it was me. Then I asked, “Lord, what do I do?”
His answer was simple yet powerful: “Draw closer to Me and TRUST Me.”
That truth began to rebuild my soul.
So, Here’s the Reminder:
Be authentic.
Understand your priorities.
Accept yourself as God created you.
Align your life with God's truth.
Set healthy boundaries.
Trust the process—even when you don’t understand it.
Protect your peace.
Stay rooted in God's purpose.
Choose joy—even in uncertainty.
When I neglected these truths, I lost myself, trying to carry expectations that weren’t mine. But healing came when I surrendered to the One who defines me.
If You Feel Lost...
If you’re in a place where you’ve forgotten your identity or feel distant from your true self, I invite you to pause. Reflect. Reconnect with the truth of who God says you are:
✨ You are a child of God “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” – 1 John 3:1 NKJV
✨ You are royalty “...heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ...” – Romans 8:17 NKJV
✨ You are chosen “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood...” – 1 Peter 2:9 NKJV
✨ You are a new creation “Old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
✨ You are strong “It is God who arms me with strength...” – Psalm 18:32 NKJV
✨ You are complete “And you are complete in Him...” – Colossians 2:10 NKJV
✨ You are forgiven “Your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.” – 1 John 2:12 NKJV
✨ You are fearfully and wonderfully made "... I am fearfully and wonderfully made..." – Psalm 139:14
Speak Life: Daily Affirmations
Say these aloud—today and every day:
I am enough because Christ is in me.
I am not lost; I am led.
I am whole, healed, and held.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am chosen for such a time as this.
I can do hard things.
I walk in divine purpose.
I release what doesn’t align with my calling.
I protect my peace.
I am becoming all God designed me to be.
Action Step: Reconnect with Your Identity
This week, take 10 minutes each day to sit in silence before God. Ask Him:
“Lord, who do You say I am?”
Write down what He reveals. Let His truth anchor you.Post it somewhere visible—your mirror, desk, or lock screen—as a daily reminder.
Let’s Adjust Our Crowns
So, my sisters, let’s fix our crowns and continue to BE who we were created to be. And if you’re already walking confidently in that truth, take a moment to encourage another woman. We are stronger together.
A Prayer for You
Lord, I thank You for every woman reading this post. May she feel Your love and know her worth. Remind her that she is chosen, royal, forgiven, and fearfully and wonderfully made. Help her rise above the distractions and demands, and instead be defined by you. May she walk boldly in her God-given identity and be filled with Your peace and purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thank You for Being Here
You are not just existing—you are intentionally becoming. And I’m so glad you’re here.
Keep BEING. Keep BECOMING. Keep BELIEVING. Let’s intentionally walk in the truth of who God created us to be, together.
With love and purpose, 💛
P.S. Let’s Grow and Be Intentional Together
We were never meant to do this alone. Let’s walk hand in hand.
Encourage another woman—share this post, send a Scripture, share your favorite affirmation,or speak a word of life.
